Czech Delegation Visits the Military Medical Academy

Belgrade, 12 April 2011 – Within the framework of his official visit to the University of Defence of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, Czech University of Defence Rector Rudolf Urban and his entourage of defence representatives of the Czech Republic in Serbia, Colonel Lorant Kurtosi, visited the Military Medical Academy (MMA) today.
The Czech delegation was welcomed by MMA Head Colonel Prof Dr Marijan Novaković. During the short and cordial talk, the guests from the Czech Republic were introduced, besides the general activities of MMA, also with its activities in a field of common interest – the domain of education and scientific research. A wish for the improvement of this cooperation was expressed, which was initiated by signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the University of Defence of the Czech Republic and the Military Medical Academy in Bujanovačka banja, in November 2008, during the international medical practice „Safe Road 2008“. This agreement provides for the groundwork for initiation and implementation of educational and scientific research programmes, as well as expert exchange programmes.

Professor Rudolf Urban had a presentation, during which he introduced MMA professors with the work of his university, development perspectives and proposals of cooperation with the Faculty of Military Health Sciences of the University of Defence of the Czech Republic.
